Job Title: Sewer
Pay: $16.00 per hour starting; $16.50 per hour after union conversion
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP

As a Sewer, you'll play a crucial role in producing quality decorative pillows and cushions. You'll work closely with our dedicated team to ensure every product meets high standards and is ready for shipment.
What You'll Do As a Sewer, you will be responsible for - Operating industrial sewing machines to close pillow openings after filling
• Performing minor repairs like fixing tears, holes, and open seams
• Trimming excess threads for a polished finish
• Inspecting pillows for dirt, tears, missing buttons, and other quality issues
• Making necessary corrections to ensure quality standards are met
• Closing zippers and removing zipper handles with pliers when needed
• Packing and boxing finished pillows for shipment
• Meeting production quotas while maintaining quality
• Following safety procedures and reporting any machine malfunctions or broken needle pieces
• Keeping the work area clean and organized
What You'll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have - Prior sewing experience, either industrial or at home
• Ability and willingness to learn industrial sewing techniques and operate sewing equipment
• Capability to pass a sewing test after completing 30 days of training
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Consistent ability to meet production goals
• Willingness to perform packing and boxing duties as required
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment
