Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to appointments to ensure accurate billing and treatment planning
Manage insurance claims submissions, follow-ups, and appeals to facilitate timely reimbursements
Review and interpret dental insurance policies, including managed care plans, to determine coverage details
Maintain meticulous medical records and ensure all documentation complies with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality
Collaborate with dental staff to confirm treatment plans align with insurance coverage parameters
Conduct insurance verification efficiently using office experience and medical terminology knowledge to resolve discrepancies promptly
Qualifications
Proven experience in dental office administration or medical office setting with a focus on insurance processing
Strong understanding of dental coding, and insurance verification procedures
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of medical records and patient information
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and billing documentation
Ability to communicate effectively with insurance companies, patients, and dental staff to resolve issues swiftly
Prior experience working in a dental office environment is required
